John is a part time freelance photographer based in Sheffield, United Kingdom. Born in Sheffield, England, February 1954.
John's first experience in photography was at the age of 12 on a school trip to London. Having been given a Kodak Brownie 44a (as a Christmas present) He took many photographs of school pals during the train journey to London and views of the "Big City"
Once John started work in 1970 for GPO (now British Telecom) he purchased a Praktica and gradually over the years upgraded to his present photographic equipment - see below
John has now, re-introduced himself back into photography, after concentrating on his career as a Telecommunications Technician.
John has been involved with photography from the early 1970's where he has photographed (for hobby purposes only) motor racing at many of the UK racing circuits, including the Isle of Man TT races.

John has also produced colour and monochrome prints using both conventional darkroom and digital techniques, although all his work is now digitally produced.

At the moment John is building up a good selection of images in Industrial and Product photography, this includes Engineering (mechanical and electrical),Blast Furnace work, and Blacksmith's Workshops, Steel Rolling and forming photography.
